Given a Chance to have Your Own Techno Business, Discuss it's nature and target clients (3000 words).
If i would given a chance to do my own techno business, i would prefer to create a tutorial business. My goal is not only to earn money but also to help people to learn. It could be a programming tutorial, multimedia design tutorial or software installation tutorial. Since i love to do programs, and i already have great experience in installing some useful programs, and i also love to draw and make my own designs. It would give me an advantage to be successful in my business plans.Its my happiness to share to others what I have learned during my studies at school.
I. Nature of my business - Starting and operating my tutorial business would be surprisingly similar to operating any other business. Its nature has a good business practices, like building the confidence of customers through truthful tutorial advertising, providing tutorials and services at a fair price, and developing long-term business relationships, are as applicable to Internet businesses as they are to any other businesses.
Having said that, there are some important differences related to some other techno businesses.
1. Low Start-up Costs - When I have came-up about my tutorial business, I can do so with as little as a few hundred dollars and a good idea. However, I don't want to be misled into believing that the Internet is an arena for instant riches with little or no effort. Nothing could be further from the truth. Like any business, it takes creativity, planning, money and hard work to be successful. Starting at a low cost is my first step to catch so many fishes. I would take the risk than to start it with an unfriendly business strategy.
2. Multiple Skill Requirements - Suddenly it's not enough to simply have a good product or service. To use the Internet effectively, I need to have or be able to acquire skills in graphic design, web server technology, programming, and a brand new marketing medium, not to mention skills needed in multi-lingual translations, international accounting and legal issues. Fortunately, it is not necessary for me to have all this knowledge by myself. With the right combination of strategic partners and associates, all of these skills could easily found, if I know where to look. That's where I come in! I can get in touch with all the professionals that I need to accomplish these task. I know that if i want to be successful with my business, I really need some help from the experts and professionals. Business is all about teamwork after all.
3. Endless Marketing Possibilities - The opportunities and ease of fostering strategic alliances to bolster marketing efforts is unsurpassed on the Internet. The reason we see so many cooperative relationships between companies online is that doing so has become so simple and so profitable. The advertising industry has found itself with many more possibilities as well as significantly more competition. There are so many business competitor. Since I already have experience about blogging and site linking. It would also be an advantage for me since i have my own personal computer with an internet access. The more I exposed my business through the internet the more customers I could attract. There is no formula for an effective Internet marketing strategy. It depends on my individual situation. If I could realize my strengths and weaknesses, I’ll be able to come up with a great marketing plan. No matter if I am thinking about Ad-sense site, affiliate site or my own product. When I find out what I can able to accomplish with my resources at the moment, I can create a great web marketing strategy for my tutorial online business and finally breakthrough on the internet.
4. Easily Traceable Results - Another byproduct of business on the internet is that tracking potential customers as a group and visitor preferences is an ordinary part of business on the Internet.
5. International Audience - Even if I do not think of my business as an international business, I must recognize that my visitors are likely to be from all over the world. I should consider whether or not that I am prepared for international shipping and other transactions with countries other than my own. I should also strongly consider having my website translated onto languages other than English. The percentage of non-US businesses on the Internet has risen dramatically in just the past year!
I would create a website wherein the visitor must sign up first before he or she can get access with my business services. There are two choices to get access with my business services. Its either the client choose the free tutorial or the professional tutorial. Of course in the free tutorial the tutorials are not really in detailed concept. In contrary with the professional tutorial wherein all tutorial are precise and in a more detailed manner. The free tutorials are just only the appetizer of my business.
There are several ways in improving my business. More importantly is to upgrade the nature of my business online marketing. So what really is the nature of an online marketing?
According to my reference, since the arrival of the internet, the face of the marketing and advertising business has dramatically changed. The internet has provided an infinitely wide advertisement board where companies all over the world can post their information, product catalog and brochures. With the increasing number of products and services, internet marketing online business has become a growing industry with fair chances of good profit.

The definition of what it is depends on because there are several jobs within the field. For example, the owners of a manufacturing company may develop a website that advertises their own products. Some advertisers can be hired to provide ways on increasing the popularity of specific products and services. There are internet marketing groups and firms that work by optimizing website content. Some websites earn by advertising other websites.
There are several forms of marketing that utilize the web. One is e-mail marketing that is the direct sending e-mails from the company to the customers. The e-mails contain new offers and products, updates and promos. However, the biggest deal of e-marketing is focused on website development.
The primary tool and object of internet marketing online is the website. A good website displays the image the company wants to show to the public and the message they want to convey. Its web pages must be easy to navigate through and they must completely show the products and services offered by the company. To contrast, back then, companies simply pay search engines to include them in the search results but they are not guaranteed of high ranks. There are several firms that offer SEO services for other companies.
Other models of e-marketing include blogging, articles and review writing, and pay per click (PPC). There are sites that host blogs for free so many online marketers, many of those just at home, make use of them to advertise products. Many also post their product reviews on blogs, including referral links. In the PPC system, a company hires several sites to host their links in forms of text or images. The hired sites are paid every time the links are visited by surfers. As a summary, all these methods work if the hosting website receives a good amount of visitors.
Internet marketing is practically a web with interdependent sectors, providing equal number of job opportunities- even to those at the comfort of their own home. That makes the internet marketing online business to continue to be a source of good income despite the tough competition. Experience, knowledge and creativity are required to succeed in this field.

Tactics for strategy 2 in the above example (improve online communication, information, and education) could include 1) sharing experience and observations in your industry through participation in discussion boards, 2) offering an email newsletter, and 3) listing/submitting your site to targeted search engines and directories.
By implementing marketing programs that are consistent with your site objectives and marketing strategies you improve your chance of business success.
II - My Target Clients - Starting a business without a client is a meaningless type of a business. One should know the nature of its business to set who could be its target customers. I know I am still a student and I don't really have any idea how to set this business into a precise one. Since my business is a tutorial business, my target customers would be:
1. Information Technology and Computer Science students.
2. Any computer related course customers who are willing to learn.
3. Programmers
4. Home-based Customers.
5. Web designers.

Assignment 4
Lessons I Learned From Steve Jobs Commencement Address.
I didn't realize how inspiring the life of Steve Jobs was. Based on what I have read, I never imagined how a dropout student became a successful man in the future. His commencement address is truly a very remarkable speech and inspires me more to reach my goals in life. His words are truly convincing and precisely accurate and true. His wisdom is really deep and he has his own principles in life. What I like about him is his desire to grasp what his heart truly loves. He is a type of a person that has a deep love and happiness on what he is doing. Anyway, I would like to share the lessons I’ve learned from Steve Jobs Commencement address into three words. These words are Love, Faith, and Fear:
1. Love - “You’ve got to find what you love.”
There are so many definitions of love. Doctor John Gray defines love as a feeling directed at someone which acknowledges their goodness. The Bible says Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
I first heard the word “LOVE” from my parents. But I have heard the same word uttered by my parents to our dog, “I love you puppy”. This poses me a question, “am I in the same category as our dog?” but my answer is definitely “NOT”. Love is an abstract word. We could give different meaning base on a subjective emotional feeling. Each person uses the word “LOVE” in different ways for different purposes. For example, we believe that loving our parents is different from loving our boyfriends or girlfriends. We even use the word “LOVE” for our courses, job, cars, shoes, or anything. We cannot invent any word to replace the word “LOVE” for each of these instances.
The meaning behind the word “LOVE” matters most. We equate love to magic or mystery that we usually categorize and classify it in a way that is hard to fully understand. We really need to understand the word “LOVE” otherwise it will only be just a neutral word. More than being understood, love can easily be lived as a way of life.
Jobs says, “You’ve got to find what you love.” I do strongly agree with his words. Love is a very personal feeling that every person can have a taste of. Each experience of love is unique and it is indeed part of our own life. No one can claim our experience of love, except ourselves.
As far as I could remember, I first used the word love during my high school days, wherein our teacher instructs us to write all the things that we love in a sheet of a paper. I wrote there “I love my family”, “I love my friends”, “I love playing the guitar”, “I love to draw”, and many more. Recalling those things which I wrote during that time made me ask myself “does my love for these things are for real or I just wrote them for the sake of my grades?”
To tell you the truth, all my life I’ve been searching for that one true love that could fill up all my emptiness. Believe me or not, I’ve found the word “LOVE” in this three letter word “GOD”. Yes, God. We Christians believe in a God of Love. We believe that God has proved His love towards man through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, who suffered upon the cross as a propitiation for our sins. Truly, to sacrifice your own life for the sake of others is a proof of love. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." It is through Jesus, that the love of the Father was revealed. I do believe that My God died for my sins. This kind of love really touches my heart.
Many people may not appreciate it because they haven’t experience it yet. Believe me or not, this kind of love gives me a reason to continue my life, to love myself more, my family, friends and even the surroundings. Some people may call me a God freak but it is indeed how I found the true essence of the word LOVE in my life. For God is my greatest encounter of true love.
2. Faith - “Don’t lose faith.”
Job says, “Don’t lose faith. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did”. What Jobs’ actually saying is, “believe in yourself”. If you love what you are doing, then go for it. If we have faith on ourselves, we gain more confidence.
What does the word Faith actually means? The Bible says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” As a Christian, I do strongly believe that there is a God existing somewhere out there. I do believe not because someone told me, but because of my own personal experience of his love. I don’t really have faith in myself but it is through God that I can now have the full trust and assurance to live my life in happiness. I give all my trust and love unto Him. I acknowledge unto myself that without Him, I am nothing.
Many people don’t actually believe in the existence of an Eternal God. They base their beliefs on facts and science only. They live their life in a “To see is to believe” principle. But God principle is remarkably different unto them. Gods principle is “Believe, and you will see”. As for me, my faith in God will be my strong foundation to walk unto the path of righteousness. My trust lies in Him alone.
3. Fear - “Fear of embarrassment or failure will just fall away in the face of death.”
Death is constant. We cannot skip death and is always present any time. Jobs says, “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.” Which is actually true.
We Christians don’t actually live our life with fear of death or in hell. Yes, I admit that I do have so many fears before. But now, there is only one left. And that is my fear of the Lord and nothing else shall I fear of.

Reflections and Insights on my Personal Traits Test.
Well, let me start this essay with an introduction to what really are these test that I have taken and what is/are the essence in knowing and having an evaluation to my emotional, intellectual, etc. aspects of my being.
First, these tests that I have taken are under the study of Psychology which came from the Greek words “psyche” which means soul and “logia” which means study of. But later on, Psychology is defined as the scientific study of human or other animal mental functions and behaviors. This includes perception, cognition, attention, emotion, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, interpersonal relationships and even the unconscious mind. And so, Psychologist uses various types test to be able to measure the mental, social, emotional and different aspects of the human.
EQ test is used to assess each and every action we do in a particular situation, which is systematically controlled by emotions. Emotional Quotient (EQ) is increasingly relevant to organizational development and developing people, because EQ principles provide a new way to understand and assess people's behaviors, management styles, attitudes, interpersonal skills, and potential.
So to be successful requires effective awareness, control and management of one's own emotions and those of other people. EQ embraces two aspects of intelligence:
• Understanding yourself, your goals, responses, behavior, create possibilities and intentions.
• Understanding others and their feelings.
So here’s just a little advice to everyone and mostly to those who work in offices. The rules for work are now changing. You are being judged by not just how smart we are but also by how well you handle others and yourselves.
IQ on the other hand, is a number meant to measure people cognitive abilities (intelligence) in relation to their age group. It all started with the Binet scale with one single goal in mind, to serve as a guide to identify children in the school who need special education to minimize their inferior level. Binet also reported that it's not designed to measure 'intelligence'. Later after many modifications on the original method of Binet such as Simon-Binet, or Stanford-Binet, Intelligence tests were getting more popular among the population as well as in government departments. In 1989 the American Academy for the Advancement of Science listed the IQ test among the twenty most significant scientific discoveries of the twentieth century along with nuclear fission, DNA, and flight.
But as soon as this matter was introduced to the public, many debates regarding measuring intelligence have upraised. The problem is that the term intelligence has never been defined adequately and therefore nobody knows what an IQ test is supposed to measure. In the chaos of controversy, the standard IQ exam is flunking. The National Education Association has called for the abolition of standardized intelligence test because they are at best wasteful and at worst destructive”.
However the controversy was soon settled when NEA has completely recognized the need for periodic comprehensive testing for evaluation and diagnosis of student progress.
Knowing now EQ and IQ, scientist again found a new topic to debate. Which is more important, IQ or EQ? According to Goleman "our emotional intelligence determines our potential for learning the practical skills that are based on its five elements: self-awareness, motivation, self-regulation, empathy, and adeptness in relationships. Our emotional competence shows how much of that potential we have translated into on-the-job capabilities".
Research has confirmed time and time again that it is a person's communication skills that gets them to the top - and keeps them there. Yes it is your IQ that puts you to where you are but it is your EQ that will make you stay there or even advance to where you once were.
Personalities are distinctive. Each individual behaves according to certain distinctive patterns throughout a variety of situations. Humans are finely tuned to observe these behavior patterns of acquaintances and to notice behavior differences among people.
You might use words such as talkative, cheerful, cold, disorganized, compulsive, intellectual, shrewd, shortsighted, flirtatious, or ruthless to describe various people you know. Also, you have probably observed that these various behaviors stay with the person consistently over time and throughout a variety of circumstances. These persistent behavior patterns, called personality traits, are stable over time, consistent in a variety of situations, and differ from one individual to the next. Personality can be defined as the psychological qualities that bring continuity to an individual’s behavior in different situations and at different times.
Personality is stable over very long periods of time; personality traits do not change. They form the stable second layer in the architecture for interaction model. Understanding, accepting, and applying your personality traits is an important part of knowing yourself.
Another study focused on descriptive nouns. [Saucier] An analysis of the results extracted eight factors. Their names, along with the five nouns having the highest correlation for each factors.
These factors may relate directly to the primal concerns of people as follows:
Factor 1: Social Unacceptability, relates to inclusion or exclusion from a social group. This is a basic decision humans make as social animals. The poles, or underlying primal decision, can be though of as: Exclude ↔ Include
Factor 2: Intellect, relates to human intelligence and higher levels of cognition. Smart is sexy and it has been said that the brain is the most important sex organ. Many believe that intelligence distinguishes us as humans, and it may be interpreted as an indicator of evolutionary advancement. Intelligence is an important indicator of stature. The poles can be described as: Bright ↔ Dull
Factor 3: Egocentrism, relates to a lack of empathy and respect for others. It may be related to an overzealous display of status, a generous or false self-image, failure to counterbalance the first-person viewpoint, or a counterfeit display of stature. Its poles can be labeled: Arrogant ↔ Humble or Narcissistic ↔ Empathetic.
Factor 4: Ruggedness, relates to dominance, aggression, and power. Its poles can be labeled: Dominant ↔ Submissive
Factor 5: Delinquency, relates to cheating. The theory of reciprocal altruism describes the importance and effectiveness of “cheater detectors” for the social interaction of humans. The poles can be labeled: Cheater ↔ Plays fair
Factor 6: Attractiveness, relates directly to sex and procreation. The poles can be labeled as: Sexy ↔ Repulsive, ugly, disgusting.

What surprises me is the number of well-known companies that use these tests. This includes companies like GE, AT&T, and Citicorp. One of my friends, who recently took a personality test, is a prime example of what can go wrong when companies rely on these tests. My friend took the test in his quest to get a job at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kentucky. When his test results came back the company concluded that he should not be hired because he was not trustworthy or loyal. I have known this person for some time and do not agree with the results of the test. My friend basically said that the company was afraid that he would embezzle money. I personally have never have found him to be untrustworthy, unloyal, or even capable of embezzling money. He now has a different job at another healthcare organization and to my knowledge has yet to embezzle any money from that company. This example shows that personality tests do not always yield accurate results. Even worse, inaccurate results can harm a person's chances of getting a job. Employers should not use these tests in the hiring of new employees.

Well, let me start this essay with an introduction to what really are these test that I have taken and what is/are the essence in knowing and having an evaluation to my emotional, intellectual, etc. aspects of my being.
First, these tests that I have taken are under the study of Psychology which came from the Greek words “psyche” which means soul and “logia” which means study of. But later on, Psychology is defined as the scientific study of human or other animal mental functions and behaviors. This includes perception, cognition, attention, emotion, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, interpersonal relationships and even the unconscious mind. And so, Psychologist uses various types test to be able to measure the mental, social, emotional and different aspects of the human.
EQ test is used to assess each and every action we do in a particular situation, which is systematically controlled by emotions. Emotional Quotient (EQ) is increasingly relevant to organizational development and developing people, because EQ principles provide a new way to understand and assess people's behaviors, management styles, attitudes, interpersonal skills, and potential.
So to be successful requires effective awareness, control and management of one's own emotions and those of other people. EQ embraces two aspects of intelligence:
• Understanding yourself, your goals, responses, behavior, create possibilities and intentions.
• Understanding others and their feelings.
So here’s just a little advice to everyone and mostly to those who work in offices. The rules for work are now changing. You are being judged by not just how smart we are but also by how well you handle others and yourselves.
IQ on the other hand, is a number meant to measure people cognitive abilities (intelligence) in relation to their age group. It all started with the Binet scale with one single goal in mind, to serve as a guide to identify children in the school who need special education to minimize their inferior level. Binet also reported that it's not designed to measure 'intelligence'. Later after many modifications on the original method of Binet such as Simon-Binet, or Stanford-Binet, Intelligence tests were getting more popular among the population as well as in government departments. In 1989 the American Academy for the Advancement of Science listed the IQ test among the twenty most significant scientific discoveries of the twentieth century along with nuclear fission, DNA, and flight.
But as soon as this matter was introduced to the public, many debates regarding measuring intelligence have upraised. The problem is that the term intelligence has never been defined adequately and therefore nobody knows what an IQ test is supposed to measure. In the chaos of controversy, the standard IQ exam is flunking. The National Education Association has called for the abolition of standardized intelligence test because they are at best wasteful and at worst destructive”.
However the controversy was soon settled when NEA has completely recognized the need for periodic comprehensive testing for evaluation and diagnosis of student progress.
Knowing now EQ and IQ, scientist again found a new topic to debate. Which is more important, IQ or EQ? According to Goleman "our emotional intelligence determines our potential for learning the practical skills that are based on its five elements: self-awareness, motivation, self-regulation, empathy, and adeptness in relationships. Our emotional competence shows how much of that potential we have translated into on-the-job capabilities".
Research has confirmed time and time again that it is a person's communication skills that gets them to the top - and keeps them there. Yes it is your IQ that puts you to where you are but it is your EQ that will make you stay there or even advance to where you once were.
Personalities are distinctive. Each individual behaves according to certain distinctive patterns throughout a variety of situations. Humans are finely tuned to observe these behavior patterns of acquaintances and to notice behavior differences among people.
You might use words such as talkative, cheerful, cold, disorganized, compulsive, intellectual, shrewd, shortsighted, flirtatious, or ruthless to describe various people you know. Also, you have probably observed that these various behaviors stay with the person consistently over time and throughout a variety of circumstances. These persistent behavior patterns, called personality traits, are stable over time, consistent in a variety of situations, and differ from one individual to the next. Personality can be defined as the psychological qualities that bring continuity to an individual’s behavior in different situations and at different times.
Personality is stable over very long periods of time; personality traits do not change. They form the stable second layer in the architecture for interaction model. Understanding, accepting, and applying your personality traits is an important part of knowing yourself.
Another study focused on descriptive nouns. [Saucier] An analysis of the results extracted eight factors. Their names, along with the five nouns having the highest correlation for each factors.
These factors may relate directly to the primal concerns of people as follows:

Factor 2: Intellect, relates to human intelligence and higher levels of cognition. Smart is sexy and it has been said that the brain is the most important sex organ. The poles can be described as: Bright ↔ Dull

After watching the movie "Pirates of the Silicon Valley",
- What are the factors that contributed to the success and failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur?
After I watch the movie "Pirates of the Silicon Valley", I was so amazed with how the computers were first developed. I realize how lucky I am with our generation today, because using computers isn't that hard unlike the past generations. I admired how Steve Jobs start with the Apple Company. He has really a great passion and love with computers and he is really a business minded person. I think there are several things which led to the success and failures of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur, but before I proceed with these preceding issues. Let us know first what does a technopreneur means. The word Technopreneur came from the combined two words Technology and Entrepreneur. It means a business that is using technology as a business model. To make it simpler, a technopreneur is an entrepreneur that uses technology as means of a business tool.
Base on my own idea, the factors which led to the success of Steve Jobs is his ability to convince people and his overflowing energetic self. As if his words are somewhat driving the people into the palm of his hands. The people tend to believe in all the words he says. As a technopreneur, we should really learn how to interact with other people and as good as possible is to make friends with them. After all, business is not really all about money; it is also about our relationship and interaction with other people. It is Steve Jobs creativity and aggressiveness that moves him to the peak of his career as an entrepreneur. He studies first the situation before he makes the move. His judgment is seemingly accurate and goes well according to his expectations.
It is through Steve Jobs that the apple company became so popular in the computer industry, but if we look at it in a different perspective, the success of the apple company appears not only through the help of Steve Jobs. His partner and best friend Steve Wozniak had also been a great asset in the success of the company. Wozniak was the one responsible for the technical areas of designing the hardware of the first computers of the Apple Company. I think the reason behind the failure of Steve Jobs as a technopreneur is because of his wrong attitude. He treated his workmen and staff indifferently. He pressures them through deadlines and mocked them as if they were the most stupid thing on earth. As a technopreneur we should also know how to handle our workmen and business staff properly with respect. What is the use of being intelligent and idealistic if we don't have the right attitude in life.
What is a proper Attitude in starting your business? In the main, it is the Attitude which you should maintain throughout your working day. Its principal elements are Honesty, Courage, Confidence, Self-respect, Poise, Clarity of Thought and Determination. These are to a great extent inter-dependent and their presence almost insures the co-relative qualities of Geniality, Courtesy and Tact.
Don't wait until you are confronted by your task to get into the right Attitude. You can't do it. The engineer doesn't defer getting up steam until he is on the track. He does that in the roundhouse, and when he is coupled to his train he is ready to pull out at full speed.
Now, a few brief remarks on the chief elements of the proper Attitude.
Fear or timidity is the least excusable of our failings. You are a business man meeting another business man. In nine cases out of every ten your calling is a far nobler one than his. If you are doing your work honestly you are at least his equal. If you are doing it efficiently you are probably his superior. To cap all, your errand is to do him an inestimable service. Keep these facts prominently before your mind's eye. Get the right Attitude.
Timidity has a distinctly detrimental effect upon your work. It is instinctively associated in our minds with shame and weakness. The man who approaches us with embarrassment makes a disagreeable impression upon us. Why? Because experience has taught us that the man who addresses us in a shrinking manner is going to borrow money or say something which will be unpleasant to hear.
Before you have got so far as to state your business, you have often created an adverse impression by an air of hesitancy and apology. If you are afflicted with this failing you must overcome it.
Confidence is begotten of honest intention, consciousness of ability and conviction of the worth of the thing we have to sell. It is a great force in the Approach. The confident man is the personification of power. Instinctively we begin to let down the barriers at his approach.
Acquire Confidence by forming a solid substructure of efficiency for it to rest upon.
Of Self-respect I need say little . It depends upon inherent characteristics and acquired qualities. You cannot play a manly part without it. Foster it by every means in your power. Cherish it as your most valuable possession. Jealously guard...against the least impairment of it. Bear in mind that this is entirely under your control. No one but yourself can injure your Self-respect. Another can arouse in you any emotion but one. He can not make you feel mean. That feeling must emanate from some fault of your own.
Poise is one of the most impressive characteristics. The man who laughs unrestrainedly, talks excitedly or slops over sentimentally exhibits weakness. On the other hand, the man who seldom allows full play to his emotions and feelings suggests reserve force.
Keep yourself constantly in check. Only in this way may you exert your mental faculties to the best advantage. When the habitually poised man opens the sluice gates of his soul on justifiable occasion the flood of force is immeasurably greater than if he had them half open all the time.
Clarity of Thought, which is, of course, the mother of clarity of speech, is constantly possible only to a well-poised mind. There is no more effective agency at the command of the Technopreneur than the clear expression of a well-defined thought. Its most essential element is a thorough understanding of the subject. I can make a statement pertaining to life insurance more clearly than the greatest orator or the brainiest man alive, if he should be ignorant of the subject. And because my statement, though couched in homely language, would penetrate your understanding farther than his, though conveyed with striking eloquence, I would convince you before he would.
Spend no time in practicing rhetoric or elocution. Learn to think logically and honestly. Spare no pains in acquiring a thorough comprehension of your subject. And you may depend upon it that your presentation will be clear and forceful. That is true eloquence, regardless of the verbiage.
Determination is the quality of being earnest and decided; the resolve to accomplish a purpose. If you approach a prospect with an earnest Attitude and a decided resolve to secure a hearing, believe me, you will succeed in almost every case.
Obstruction melts away before a Determined Attitude. A thing willed is a thing more than half done.
Now let us take these qualities- this woof and weft- and pass them through the loom. What is the resultant fabric? Personality. The Attitude of the business man should be an expression of his Personality. The Attitude of the business man should be indicative of the qualities we have considered. - How do you see yourself as a technopreneur?
Well honestly, I am not really good in terms of handling a business, because I don't know how to spend my money wisely. I find it hard sometimes to save or earn, because I spend right away my money in some other things that are unnecessary. But I strongly believe that it is not a hindrance for me in becoming a good technopreneur.
As a Christ-centered person, I also know my responsibilities, objectives and goals in life. Maybe there are some times that I give myself time to rest and relax from all pressures and stresses in life but I will never ever quit. Even though it will take me days, months or even years, I know I can still catch up. All I do is lift up my head, close my eyes, and gently whisper my selfish requests to God. For I know God is with me and He will always be there to give me strength. I acknowledge unto myself that without Him, I am nothing. Without God who strengthens me, I can do nothing. What is the use of fame and wealth if we don't acknowledge the goodness of our everlasting God? Everyone might think after having these things, they can obtain real happiness. But for me, real happiness can only be found in the loving arms of God. If I would focus my goal for money and fame, then I am nothing, for God will never appreciate these things which only bring forth evilness to mankind.
Honestly, I did not really saw or even dreamed myself as a business man someday. I just only longed for a simple life in the future. My mother used to ask me before what is my greatest dream in life. She laughs when I answered her "I want to see all the people around me smiling and laughing". My vision in life is not that really high. I would rather choose the path where I can see myself happy and everybody else, than living a life without anybody to be with.
My perception towards myself as an entrepreneur reflects all aspects in my life. While I am still a student, I can see through myself all my shortcomings and responsibilities that I sometimes don't pay attention at all. I would honestly admit that I sometimes get easily invaded by my laziness through all my responsibilities at school, but I know this is not a reason for me to give up. Maybe I didn't really give my best to God. I do still need some evaluation and mastery through my self. It is a must for me to reflect from all the wrong attitudes towards my studies, my responsibilities to my school, to my family, my friends and most of all, to God. I know that life is a never ending process of learning.
Everyday, there are mistakes that I do, consciously or subconsciously. But in the end, what matters most is to confess, repent and learn from it. If I want to become a technopreneur, I should learn how to overcome some of these weaknesses in me. It is not right for me to give reasons and excuses for my carelessness and laziness. I know I can still reach my goal, of course with God on my side. I just don't want to rush things. I know God has a plan for me. It’s better to take it slowly and learn better, than to rush myself and learn nothing at all. I want to grow not through the will of others or the will of my own, but through the will of God only. The will of fire inside my heart is still burning because I know Jesus Christ is inside of it. Actually, my goal in life is not to become a wealthy and famous man in the future. My goal is to be a disciple of God, to preach all my friends and about to be friends about the goodness of our everlasting God. It is really my happiness to share the word of God to others. If I would really become a technopreneur someday, I would not focus my goal for money or for fame. But I would use it as a tool to honor and glorify God. If ever I will be successful, I will return to God all the good things He has done in my life in any way that I could. I believe that my existence here on earth is not any coincidence nor just happened by chance. I do believe that God puts me here to have the privilege to hear His gospels and to honor and glorify His name. My love for God is so contagious that it gives me a love to everything that surrounds me.
For the totality of my answer, being a technopreneur to be, if the time comes, I can see my self in a reflection of which I am when I am nothing. I don't want to change my self just to become a successful technopreneur. Being a technopreneur is just being myself and being true to myself. If I fail, I will accept it, learn from it and move on. And if I succeed, I'll stay humble and be thankful to God for helping me reach my goals. What I mean is as a technopreneur, I would stay the same way as I am. I would not change my self because I love myself the just way it is now. I have a good family; I have so many good friends, and most of all a very, very loving and merciful God. And if given a situation choosing between these people that I love and good fortune,
I would rather choose having an average life and living happily with the people I love than having good fortune and being alone because without them, everything that I have worked hard for, all my sacrifices and all successes that I obtain are nothing. It will all be meaningless.
Before I give my insights about this certain topic, let us first know who really is Steve Jobs, and what is he during the time he started to establish the Apple Company.
Steve Jobs was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Joanne Simpson and an Egyptian Arab father. Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California then adopted him. The writer Mona Simpson is Jobs’ biological sister. In 1972, Jobs graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino, California and enrolled in Reed College in Portland, Oregon. One semester later he had dropped out. But instead of going back home he hung around college and took up the study of philosophy and foreign cultures.
Steve Jobs had a deep-seated interest in technology so he took up a job at Atari Inc. which was a leading manufacturer of video games. He struck a friendship with fellow designer Steve Wozniak and attended meetings of the “Homebrew Computer Club” with him. Wozniak and Jobs developed a system with a toy whistle available in the Cap’n Crunch cereal box to make it possible to make free long distance telephone calls. They called off the amateur venture after someone told them of the possible legal consequences.
After saving up some money Steve Jobs took off for India in the search of enlightenment with his friend Dan Kottke. Once he returned he convinced Wozniak to quit his job at Hewlett Packard and join him in his venture that concerned personal computers. They sold items like a scientific calculator to raise the seed capital.
In 1976, Jobs, then 21, and Wozniak, 26, founded Apple Computer Co. in the Jobs family garage. The first personal computer was sold for $666.66. By 1980, Apple had already released three improved versions of the personal computer. It had a wildly successful IPO, which made both founders millionaires many times over. Steve Jobs had managed to rope in John Scully of Pepsi to head the marketing function in Apple.
A tiff with the Apple board and John Scully led to the resignation of Steve Jobs. As soon as he resigned he immersed himself in his brand new venture. Steve Jobs decided that he wanted to change the hardware industry. The company was called NeXTStep and the new machine was called NeXT Computer. He ploughed in more than U.S. $250 million into the company.
The machine was a commercial washout but it did help in object-oriented programming, PostScript, and magneto-optical devices. Tim Berners-Lee developed the original World Wide Web system at CERN on a NeXT machine. Bitterly disappointed with NeXTStep, Jobs accepted the offer that Apple made him.
Steve Jobs also started Pixar Inc., which has gone on to produce animated movies such as Toy Story (1995); A Bug’s Life (1998); Toy Story 2 (1999); Monsters, Inc. (2001); Finding Nemo (2003); and The Incredibles (2004). This venture has made him one of the most sought after men in Hollywood.
Post Pixar, Steve Jobs wanted another round of revolutionizing to do. This time it was the music industry. He introduced the iPod in 2003. Later he came up with iTunes, which was a digital jukebox. A million and a half iPods later, the music industry still does not know whether this invention will save it or destroy it. Apple has a great advertising track record and its ‘Rip, Mix, Burn’ campaign was another feather in its cap. Now the industry uses a Mac to make the music and an iPod to store it.
If I would have given the opportunity to become a technopreneur and take the same career path that Steve Jobs took, I would honestly say yes. During the time Steve Jobs started to establish the Apple Company, he gained so many friends. People believe in him and respect him very much. I would also want that people would believe in me and respect me, because I want to grab that chance to preach them the Gospel of God and His goodness towards us. I do believe that I could become a good leader and a good shepherd to all of my friends. I want to use this profession to honor God, and to glorify him with all my heart and soul.
In dealing with his own attitude towards work, I would not follow his ways in handling his fellow co-workers. He made a good start, but it is his boastful attitude that drags him unto his downfall as an entrepreneur. There are some parts of his characteristic that I find it hard to understand. Well, who am I to judge him anyways. I don’t even know anything about him in the past. It’s really true that right attitude is really the key to achieve your goals in life, and base on what I have watched, Steve Jobs lacks of it.
Since I am only a human being, I do admit to myself that I sometimes also committed mistakes. I know Steve Jobs still deserves a chance of changing his wrong attitude. It’s never too late to change for the better.
Frankly speaking, I don’t want to take a career path of anyone, not even Mr. Steve or Mr. Bill. I want to do things my way with the support of the guiding hand of the Lord. Mr. Steve is Mr. Steve after all, I’m Daniel Orito and I’m me. I have my own strategy and plans for my future also. But I would still accept all of their ideas and I am also open through all the opportunity that comes my way.
I am still in the process of learning. There are so many things which I want to discover to myself and all that surrounds me. My career path only belongs to God. I trust all the days of my life through Him only. It is His Divine love that keeps me from going and never giving up. I can do all things through Him only which gives me strength and courage to continue.

As a Christ-centered person, I also know my responsibilities, objectives and goals in life. Maybe there are some times that I give myself time to rest and relax from all pressures and stresses in life but I will never ever quit. Even though it will take me days, months or even years, I know I can still catch up. All I do is lift up my head, close my eyes, and gently whisper my selfish requests to God. For I know God is with me and He will always be there to give me strength. I acknowledge unto myself that without Him, I am nothing. Without God who strengthens me, I can do nothing. What is the use of fame and wealth if we don't acknowledge the goodness of our everlasting God? Everyone might think after having these things, they can obtain real happiness. But for me, real happiness can only be found in the loving arms of God. If I would focus my goal for money and fame, then I am nothing, for God will never appreciate these things which only bring forth evilness to mankind.
Honestly, I did not really saw or even dreamed myself as a business man someday. I just only longed for a simple life in the future. My mother used to ask me before what is my greatest dream in life. She laughs when I answered her "I want to see all the people around me smiling and laughing". My vision in life is not that really high. I would rather choose the path where I can see myself happy and everybody else, than living a life without anybody to be with.
My perception towards myself as an entrepreneur reflects all aspects in my life. While I am still a student, I can see through myself all my shortcomings and responsibilities that I sometimes don't pay attention at all. I would honestly admit that I sometimes get easily invaded by my laziness through all my responsibilities at school, but I know this is not a reason for me to give up. Maybe I didn't really give my best to God. I do still need some evaluation and mastery through my self. It is a must for me to reflect from all the wrong attitudes towards my studies, my responsibilities to my school, to my family, my friends and most of all, to God. I know that life is a never ending process of learning.
Everyday, there are mistakes that I do, consciously or subconsciously. But in the end, what matters most is to confess, repent and learn from it. If I want to become a technopreneur, I should learn how to overcome some of these weaknesses in me. It is not right for me to give reasons and excuses for my carelessness and laziness. I know I can still reach my goal, of course with God on my side. I just don't want to rush things. I know God has a plan for me. It’s better to take it slowly and learn better, than to rush myself and learn nothing at all. I want to grow not through the will of others or the will of my own, but through the will of God only. The will of fire inside my heart is still burning because I know Jesus Christ is inside of it. Actually, my goal in life is not to become a wealthy and famous man in the future. My goal is to be a disciple of God, to preach all my friends and about to be friends about the goodness of our everlasting God. It is really my happiness to share the word of God to others. If I would really become a technopreneur someday, I would not focus my goal for money or for fame. But I would use it as a tool to honor and glorify God. If ever I will be successful, I will return to God all the good things He has done in my life in any way that I could. I believe that my existence here on earth is not any coincidence nor just happened by chance. I do believe that God puts me here to have the privilege to hear His gospels and to honor and glorify His name. My love for God is so contagious that it gives me a love to everything that surrounds me.
For the totality of my answer, being a technopreneur to be, if the time comes, I can see my self in a reflection of which I am when I am nothing. I don't want to change my self just to become a successful technopreneur. Being a technopreneur is just being myself and being true to myself. If I fail, I will accept it, learn from it and move on. And if I succeed, I'll stay humble and be thankful to God for helping me reach my goals. What I mean is as a technopreneur, I would stay the same way as I am. I would not change my self because I love myself the just way it is now. I have a good family; I have so many good friends, and most of all a very, very loving and merciful God. And if given a situation choosing between these people that I love and good fortune,
I would rather choose having an average life and living happily with the people I love than having good fortune and being alone because without them, everything that I have worked hard for, all my sacrifices and all successes that I obtain are nothing. It will all be meaningless.

Before I give my insights about this certain topic, let us first know who really is Steve Jobs, and what is he during the time he started to establish the Apple Company.
Steve Jobs was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Joanne Simpson and an Egyptian Arab father. Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, Santa Clara County, California then adopted him. The writer Mona Simpson is Jobs’ biological sister. In 1972, Jobs graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino, California and enrolled in Reed College in Portland, Oregon. One semester later he had dropped out. But instead of going back home he hung around college and took up the study of philosophy and foreign cultures.
Steve Jobs had a deep-seated interest in technology so he took up a job at Atari Inc. which was a leading manufacturer of video games. He struck a friendship with fellow designer Steve Wozniak and attended meetings of the “Homebrew Computer Club” with him. Wozniak and Jobs developed a system with a toy whistle available in the Cap’n Crunch cereal box to make it possible to make free long distance telephone calls. They called off the amateur venture after someone told them of the possible legal consequences.
After saving up some money Steve Jobs took off for India in the search of enlightenment with his friend Dan Kottke. Once he returned he convinced Wozniak to quit his job at Hewlett Packard and join him in his venture that concerned personal computers. They sold items like a scientific calculator to raise the seed capital.
In 1976, Jobs, then 21, and Wozniak, 26, founded Apple Computer Co. in the Jobs family garage. The first personal computer was sold for $666.66. By 1980, Apple had already released three improved versions of the personal computer. It had a wildly successful IPO, which made both founders millionaires many times over. Steve Jobs had managed to rope in John Scully of Pepsi to head the marketing function in Apple.
A tiff with the Apple board and John Scully led to the resignation of Steve Jobs. As soon as he resigned he immersed himself in his brand new venture. Steve Jobs decided that he wanted to change the hardware industry. The company was called NeXTStep and the new machine was called NeXT Computer. He ploughed in more than U.S. $250 million into the company.
The machine was a commercial washout but it did help in object-oriented programming, PostScript, and magneto-optical devices. Tim Berners-Lee developed the original World Wide Web system at CERN on a NeXT machine. Bitterly disappointed with NeXTStep, Jobs accepted the offer that Apple made him.
Steve Jobs also started Pixar Inc., which has gone on to produce animated movies such as Toy Story (1995); A Bug’s Life (1998); Toy Story 2 (1999); Monsters, Inc. (2001); Finding Nemo (2003); and The Incredibles (2004). This venture has made him one of the most sought after men in Hollywood.
Post Pixar, Steve Jobs wanted another round of revolutionizing to do. This time it was the music industry. He introduced the iPod in 2003. Later he came up with iTunes, which was a digital jukebox. A million and a half iPods later, the music industry still does not know whether this invention will save it or destroy it. Apple has a great advertising track record and its ‘Rip, Mix, Burn’ campaign was another feather in its cap. Now the industry uses a Mac to make the music and an iPod to store it.
If I would have given the opportunity to become a technopreneur and take the same career path that Steve Jobs took, I would honestly say yes. During the time Steve Jobs started to establish the Apple Company, he gained so many friends. People believe in him and respect him very much. I would also want that people would believe in me and respect me, because I want to grab that chance to preach them the Gospel of God and His goodness towards us. I do believe that I could become a good leader and a good shepherd to all of my friends. I want to use this profession to honor God, and to glorify him with all my heart and soul.
In dealing with his own attitude towards work, I would not follow his ways in handling his fellow co-workers. He made a good start, but it is his boastful attitude that drags him unto his downfall as an entrepreneur. There are some parts of his characteristic that I find it hard to understand.
